Canterbury (A Coach Trip in Canterbury)
"Canterbury" is one of the many popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These trips are a most enjoyable way of learning some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am and is due to get back about 9pm.
Colin gives his usual commentary along the way, bringing to life the interesting sights and places encountered along the route. This is one of the things that make Colin`s trips unique.
Canterbury, in the historic county of Kent, is one of the oldest towns in Britain. It was a Roman town on Watling Street, and has one of the oldest place names in the country. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the most important person in the Church of England.
Colin will be leading a Guided Walk around Canterbury in his inimitable manner, pointing out many places of interest, including the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral, City Walls, Weavers House and Westgate.
Many years ago Colin managed the Marlowe Theatre at Canterbury.
