Weekend at Hythe
My wife Anne and I were able to spend a weekend recently at Hythe in Kent, with our daughter Gillian and her partner Daz.
We went out on the Saturday and had a look around the harbour area of Folkestone. From there we visited the splendid Railway Museum, and Craft Centre, at Peene, and the neighbouring church at Newington. We had a look at the church at Newchurch on the edge of Romney Marsh, and paid a visit to Dymchurch on the coast.
On the Sunday, we had a brief look at the little church at Pedlinge, before visiting the delightful town of Tenterden, where we found an exquisite tea shop. We also visited the ancient church at Old Romney, before coming back to Hythe and paying a visit to see the collection of human bones at St. Leonard`s Church.
Before going back home on the Monday, we had a look around Hythe`s charming High Street.
It was a very relaxing weekend.
