Visit to Holmfirth

I went on another of the Coach Trips run by Woods Coaches of Leicester recently.

Although I run my own programme of excursions, I find it relaxing to go as a passenger on other trips from time to time. And Woods are certainly a very good company - I hire coaches from them myself.

This time we travelled North up the M1 until we arrived at Tibshelf Services, where I was able to stoke up with a good breakfast.

Then it was on to Holmfirth, the little town that became famous when the "Last of the Summer Wine" TV series was filmed there.

And then Bakewell, one of my favourite small towns, where the celebrated Bakewell pudding was invented.

On the way back, we stopped again at Tibshelf.

Another nice day.
