Steve Talks to Cricket Society
I went to a meeting of Leicestershire Cricket Society recently (I don`t miss many of the meetings). It is a great way for cricket lovers to keep in touch with the game during the Winter.
The meeting, as usual, was held at Grace Road in Leicester, and the speaker this time was the former Lancashire and South Africa bowler Steve Elworthy.
Steve gave us an interesting talk about growing up in Zimbabwe, then being a young cricketer in South Africa. The background that he gave us was new to most members.
He continued to speak about his present duties organising, marketing and promoting international cricket.
I was privileged to give the vote of thanks to Steve afterwards.
