Loughborough Walk with the RNIB
I led a Guided Walk around Loughborough recently for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
It was a version of my "Loughborough" walk, which I lead from time to time in this fascinating market and university town.
I was able to show those taking part lots of interesting things about the town, including the Town Hall (of which I was the Manager in the 1970s) and the originally much-criticised but now much-loved work of art known as The Sock Statue.
We also visited the lovely Queens Park and looked at the Carillon.
As usual, I had a good time showing people aspects of their town.
