Jack Speaks of Championship Triumphs
A recent meeting at Grace Road of the Leicestershire Cricket Society, which I attended of course, gave the opportunity to savour some of the cricket team`s triumphs of yesteryear.
We saw a film recording 1996 and 1998, when Leicestershire won the County Championship. Great days indeed, and I am happy to say that I was present at many of the matches!
Afterwards, Jack Birkenshaw, the former England spinner who at the time was Leicestershire coach, gave his own comments and answered questions.
It was an excellent evening.
