Interesting Talk on Indian Textiles

The latest talk at the Library Club in Leicester was about Indian Textiles.

I attended the talk, as I usually do, and as always it was held at the Central Lending Library in Belvoir Street.

It was presented by Malika Kraamer, curator of textiles at Leicester`s celebrated New Walk Museum, who gave a most interesting account of some of the techniques used and some of the traditional designs involved in textiles from various Indian cultures, as well as the practical uses to which they are put.
