Fifteen Hundred Times a Guide
I passed an important personal milestone the other day.
I’ve been a Blue Badge Guide since qualifying in 1994, having, with a group of others, taken the intensive course over essentially the academic year 1993 – 94 and passed a gruelling series of examinations, both written and practical.
I have now acted as a Guide over fifteen hundred times.
A large proportion of what I do is public Guided Walks in the Leicestershire and Rutland area. I also do these in Essex, where I originate from, and in London.
I also take Coach Trips from Leicester to destinations all over the country, the furthest away so far in various directions being the Lake District, Hexham, Kent and Exeter.
Then there are lots of private Guided Walks for groups, mostly around Leicestershire and Rutland, and private Coach Trips for groups.
The fifteen hundredth time as a Guide was a public Guided Walk around Old Belgrave.
Have you been on one of the public Guided Walks or Coach Trips? If not, perhaps it’s about time you did.
And if you’d like your group to have a private one, feel free to get in touch. I’ll be very pleased to hear from you.
