Dennis Amiss Visits Cricket Society
Leicestershire Cricket Society had another distinguished visitor, Dennis Amiss, at a recent meeting.
I am very pleased to be a member of this society, which meets quite frequently during the close season, at the county`s famous ground at Grace Road in Leicester.
Dennis Amiss gave an interesting and well-rehearsed talk on his career in cricket. He played many times as an opening batsman for Warwickshire and England, and followed that up with many years in cricket administration.
As always, his talk brought back many memories for the assembled members.
