Cricket Awards Night
I was pleased recently to be able to attend the annual Awards Night for Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
It was held in the restaurant at Grace Road in Leicester.
Hosted by former player Charlie Dagnall, who now broadcasts for BBC Radio Leicester, the evening was devoted to awards being given to players for their outstanding performances during the season.
Sweeping the board was batsman Ned Eckersley with several awards. I had the privilege of announcing some of Ned`s achievements during the season in my capacity of announcer.
A jolly good evening.
