Claude Henderson Speaks at Grace Road
I went to a meeting of the Leicestershire Cricket Society at Grace Road recently.
I try to get to these meetings as often as I can They are great for keeping in touch with this wonderful game through the long close season. At each meeting, there is a speaker, usually a former player.
This time it was Claude Henderson, the South African Test spinner who was finishing his long career with Leicestershire. He joined the county as the first ever Kolpak player, and gave stirling service over the years.
Claude gave a very interesting talk on various apects of the game, both here and in South Africa, and it was good to be able to wish him all the best for the future.
