A Day on the Suffolk Coast
I went on another Coach Trip recently, this time to two delightful towns on the Suffolk coast.
Although I run my own programme of excursions throughout the year, I still enjoy going on others as a passenger.
The trip in question was run by Woods Coaches of Leicester, the company from whom I hire coaches for my own trips.
On this occasion, having got on the coach at St. Margarets Bus Station, we were carried through Huntingdonshire to Cambridge Services.
Then it was on through Suffolk to the outstanding seaside town of Southwold. It is always a treat for me to be beside the sea, as I come from Southend and miss the sea air.
I know Southwold well, having ran my own trips (including Guided Walks) there. I strolled happily about, visiting Southwold Pier and St. Edmunds Church, and treating myself to the usual coffee and teacake.
Then it was on to Aldeburgh. Again I know this little town well, so it was another pleasant stroll. I had a look at the shell sculpture on the beach, visited the parish church and had an excellent ice cream.
On the way home, we stopped again at Cambridge Services.
Yes, I enjoyed the day very much.
