St. Mary`s Church (Wymeswold)

St. Mary`s Church is the parish church of the Leicestershire village of Wymeswold.

It is basically mediaeval, with a Perpendicular West tower and 14th century arcade and South doorway. There was a spire, but this was removed in 1782.

The church was restored between 1844 and 1846 by Augustus Pugin.

The well known as the Stockwell issues from beneath the church.
