Weymouth Station (Weymouth)

Weymouth Station is the railway station that serves the seaside resort and seaport of Weymouth in Dorset.

The original station was by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and completed in 1857.

Trains from London depart from Waterloo Station, and arrive by way of Winchester, Southampton, Bournemouth and Poole.

Another line runs to Bristol by way of Dorchester, Yeovil, Bradford-on-Avon and Bath.

Until 1994, trains ran to a station at Weymouth Quay, along the road, to the astonishment of visitors.

A line to Portland closed in 1952.
