Walton Maritime Museum (Walton-on-the-Naze)
Walton Maritime Museum is an interesting attraction at the Essex seaside resort of Walton-on-the-Naze.
It is situated in East Terrace.
The museum is housed in the old lifeboat station, and contains exhibits on various aspects of Walton`s connections with the sea.
The main emphasis is on the lifeboat service, which dates back here to 1884.
On display is the "James Stevens No 14", the oldest surviving motorised lifebost in the world.
