St. Peter`s Church (Thundersley)

St. Peter`s Church is the parish church of Thundersley in Essex.

It stands on the top of a wooded hill, with splendid views across the estuary of the River Thames.

St. Peter`s is small, with nave and aisles under a single steep roof, whose eaves come down low towards the ground.

Basically mediaeval, it has 13th century aisles.

There is a broach spire.

The chancel was added in 1885, and there were additions in the 1960s.
