Syston Station (Syston)
Syston Station is the railway station serving the small town of Syston on the outskirts of Leicester.
It is situated on the edge of town, beside Melton Road.
The station was built on what was originally the Syston and Peterborough Railway.
Syston Station was closed, together with Barrow-upon-Soar Station and Sileby Station, in 1968, under the Marples Axe.
However, all three were reopened in the 1990s as part of the Ivanhoe Line project, which has otherwise not materialised.
