St. Michael`s Church (Stoney Stanton)
St. Michael`s is the parish church of the Leicestershire village of Stoney Stanton.
Basically a mediaeval church, it was extensively restored during the 19th century, partly by Henry Goddard of Leicester.
It has a West tower and parapet spire.
A Norman tympanum has been resited over the vestry door. It shows fighting beasts, including a dragon and a wyvern, and a bishop with a crozier giving a blessing.
