St. Mary and St. Nicolas Church (Spalding)

St. Mary and St. Nicolas Church is the parish church of the riverside town of Spalding in Lincolnshire.

The tower, detached from the nave, has a crocketed spire.

It is a mediaeval church, with Early Gothic work, and there are transepts and aisles aplenty.

The 18th century chandelier holds 36 candles.

The sanctuary has an excellent ceiling painted in the 1950s by Stephen Dykes Bower.

The North porch has fan tracery.
