Heritage Museum (Sheerness)
The Heritage Museum is a fascinating attraction at Sheerness in Kent.
It is situated off the High Street.
The museum is housed in a weatherboarded cottage, one of the few survivors of a number built for the dockyard workers when John Rennie enlarged the dockyard in 1812.
The cottage has been refurnished as it would have been in the 19th century, and there are displays relating to the dockyard`s role, particularly during the Second World War.
