Rushton Triangular Lodge (Rushton)

Rushton Triangular Lodge is an amazing building at Rushton in Northamptonshire.

It stands within the grounds of Rushton Hall, and was built between 1594 and 1597 by Thomas Tresham, as a statement of the Catholic faith to which he had converted.

Tresham was completely fascinated by the Holy Trinity, and everything about this astonishing building comes in threes.

For example, there are three sides, it has three floors, a width of 33 feet, three windows per floor per side, and three triangular gables on each side.

Rushton Triangular Lodge is now in the care of English Heritage.
