Museum of the History of Science (Oxford)

The Museum of the History of Science is one of a number of museums in Oxford.

It is situated in Broad Street.

The building itself dates from 1678, and was the first home of the famous Ashmolean Museum.

It was opened in 1925, and contains a fantastic collection of scientific instruments and memorabila. These include orreries, astrolabes and sundials, as well as Charles Lutwige Dodgson (Lewis Carroll)`s photographic equipment, Isambard Kingdom Brunel`s pocket sextant and Dr. Dee`s holy table.
