The main entrance is in Woodthorpe Drive, off Mansfield Road.
The park is a rich landscape, with mature trees, ornamental gardens, a sunken garden and a tropical house. It also has a Grade II listed building.
Within the park there are facilities for football, and a pitch and putt course.
