Wollaton Park (Nottingham)

Wollaton Park is a historic park in Nottingham.

The park covers 500 acres, and and surrounds the wonderful 16th century Wollaton Hall, designed by Robert Smythson.

Living in the park are around a hundred red deer, along with over 135 kinds of birds, 22 kinds of mammals, 212 types of butterfly and over 300 kinds of moth.

Habitats include woodland, avenues of ancient trees, acidic grassland, wetland and marsh.
