Green`s Mill (Nottingham)
Green`s Mill is a postmill in Nottingham.
It is situated in the former village of Sneinton, now a suburb of Nottingham, and is a familiar landmark on the city horizon.
Green`s Mill is a five storey postmill built in 1807 by the father of George Green, a famous mathematical scientist.
When conditions are favourable, the mill works, producing stoneground organic flours, which can be purchased on site.
The mill is open at all reasonable times.
Beside the mill is a fascinating Science Centre, celebrating the life and works of George Green.
