Pulls Ferry (Norwich)

Pull's Ferry is a very attractive and much photographed feature in the historic cathedral city of Norwich.

It is the site of a ferry across the River Wensum, and is named after a man named Pull, who was the last ferryman here.

Pull's Ferry can be reached by foot along Lower Close, which leads out to the river from Norwich Cathedral.

The picturesque watergate is 15th century, and the ferry house dates vack to the 16th century.

Originally, a canal ran through the watergate, and this was the way that Caen stone was brought to build the cathedral.
