Great Hospital (Norwich)
The Great Hospital is a historic building in Norwich.
It is situated in Bishopgate, near Norwich Cathedral.
The Great Hospital is an almshouse founded in 1249 to care for aged priests, scholars and paupers.
Eagle Ward was created after the Reformation in the former chancel of St. Helen`s Church, and has furnished cubicles and a painted ceiling.
There is a 15th century refectory and cloisters.
