Norchard Station (Norchard)

Norchard Station is the railway station at Norchard in Gloucestershire.

It is the headquarters of the steam heritage railway known as the Dean Forest Railway, on a line that started life as a horse drawn narrow gauge tramway in 1809.

Trains come from Lydney Junction by way of St. Mary`s Halt and Lydney Town.

They continue to Parkend, on a delightful wooded line.

There is a gift shop, museum and buffet.

The railway is operated by enthusiastic volunteers.
