Newcastle-upon-Tyne Station (Newcastle-upon-Tyne)
Newcastle-upon-Tyne Station is one of the two railway stations serving the City Centre of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The other is Manors Station.
This excellent classical station was designed by John Dobson in 1848 - 50, and was completed by Thomas Prosser in 1865.
Trains from London leave from Kings Cross Station, and arrive by way of Peterborough, Newark, York and Durham.
They continue to Manors, Morpeth, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh.
Another line runs to Sunderland, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington.
Another runs across country to Corbridge, Hexham, Haltwhistle and Carlisle.
