Masson Mills (Matlock Bath)
Masson Mills constitute a fascinating industrial site at Matlock Bath in Derbyshire.
The enormous building can be found beside the A6 road, and beside the River Derwent.
Built by Sir Richard Arkwright in 1783, Masson Mills are the finest example of an Arkwright cotton mill.
The on site museum features working textile machinery.
There is a restaurant, and a shopping village.
Masson Mills are now part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
