Turkey Mill (Maidstone)
Turkey Mill is a historic site at Maidstone in Kent.
It is situated in Ashford Road.
Originally a fulling mill, it was converted to paper making towards the end of the 17th century, and became world famous for the high quality paper used by William Blake, Thomas Gainsborough and J. M. W. Turner, as well as for Napoleon`s will and the Peace Treaty wih Japan at the close of the Second World War in 1945.
On the site is a business park and nine acres of landscaped parkland.
