Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club (Lowestoft)

The Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club have an impressive building on the seafront at Lowestoft, close to the East Point Pavilion.

The building was designed by the well known Norwich architect George Skipper and built in 1902 - 03.

The site was triangular and difficult, and Skipper produced an L-shaped plan to take advantage of its shape.

On top of the building is an observation room, fully glazed, surmounted by a copper dome.
