Green Park (London)
The Green Park is one of the famous Royal parks of London.
On one side is Piccadilly, and on the other are Constitution Hill, Buckingham Palace and The Mall.
It is largely grass covered, and is the only one of the parks in Central London to be without a lake.
Charles II added the Green Park to St. James s Park in 1667, after having regularly walked through the grounds from St. James's Palace early in the morning.
The Green Park was known in its early years as Upper St. James's Park.
