Dennis Severs` House (London)
Dennis Severs` House is a fascinating house in the Spitalfields area of East London.
It can be found at 18 Folgate Street, not far from Bishopsgate.
The house is one of many built in the 18th century for Huguenot refugees who settled in a number of places in England, including Halstead, Colchester and Canterbury, and also in Spitalfields.
The late Dennis Severs acquired the house and set about restoring it to tell the story of the Huguenot Jarvis family of silk weavers, who lived here from 1724 to 1919.
