Lincoln Station (Lincoln)
Lincoln Station serves the historic cathedral city of Lincoln.
It is centrally situated at the bottom of the hill, close to the River Witham and Brayford Pool.
The station was originally called Lincoln Central, and was built by Joseph Cubitt in 1848.
Another station, known as St. Marks, was opened in 1846 and closed in 1985.
Trains run to Lincoln from Nottingham via Newark, and continue to Market Rasen, Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
Trains also run to Gainsborough and Doncaster, and to Sleaford, Spalding and Peterborough.
Another line formerly ran to Edwinstowe and Mansfield, another to Grantham and another to Tattershall and Boston.
