The Reference Library is one of the public libraries in Leicester City Centre.
It is situated in Bishop Street, opposite the Town Hall, and is part of the Libraries Service run by Leicester City Council.
The architect was the local man Edward Burgess, and the library was one of those paid for by the Scottish - American industrialist and philanhropist Andrew Carnegie, who handed over the cheque at a banquet held to celebrate its completion.
