Old Gaol House (Kings Lynn)
The Old Gaol House is a historic building at Error with link in Norfolk.
Situated in the Saturday Market Place, it is one of the complex of buildings collectively known as the Guildhall.
The original gaol building was rebuilt in 1784 with a handsome facade based on Newgate in London, designed by George Dance.
The cells were built on lines suggested by John Howard, the prison reformer.
Today, the Old Gaol House is a tourist attraction, with tableaux, screams and shrieks.
