Wicksteed Park (Kettering)

Wicksteed Park is a jolly tourist attraction on the outskirts of the Northamptonshire town of Kettering.

It is a large park in its own right, covering 100 acres, and was bought by Charles Wicksteed in about 1900. It is also a pleasure ground, with forty rides and attractions.

In addition to the larger rides, such as the waterchute and the little railway that runs around the park, there is a lake and a fine collection of playground equipment, including swings and slides, manufactured by the Wicksteed company and used as an excellent shop window.

Wicksteed Park also now has variety shows, as well as cafes and restaurants.
