Abbot Hall (Kendal)

Abbot Hall is a former mansion in Kendal, in Cumbria, which is now used as an art gallery.

It is situated in Highgate.

Abbot Hall stands beside the River Kent, beside the impressive Holy Trinity church.

It was built in 1759 by Carr of York, for Colonel George Wilson.

As an art gallery, it has paintings by William Hogarth, Joshua Reynolds and Joseph Wright of Derby.
