Christchurch Park (Ipswich)

Christchurch Park is a historic urban park at Ipswich.

The main entrance is in Soane Street.

It covers 81 acres, and its origins stretch back to the 12th century. Within the park there are 14 listed buildings and structures, including the Grade I listed Christchurch Mansion and the 11th century Augustinian priory wall.

The mansion was given to the town by Felix Thornley Cobbold, on condition that the corporation purchased the rest of the estate.

In 1895, Christchurch Park was officially opened.
