Empire Cinema (Great Yarmouth)

The Empire Cinema is one of a number of popular places of entertainment beside the sea at Great Yarmouth.

It was opened in 1911, and the architect was Arthur S. Hewitt, who was also responsible for the Windmill Cinema, originally the Gem.

Hewitt designed it with an Edwardian baroque facade, with a triumphal arch and Ionic columns.
