St. Swithun`s Church (Great Dalby)

St. Swithun`s is the parish church of the Leicestershire village of Great Dalby.

Essentially mediaeval, with a West tower and chancel built of the local ironstone, it was partly rebuilt in the 17th century.

This was because in 1658 the spire collapsed, in the process demolishing the nave.

The South door has mediaeval ironwork.
