St. Peter`s Church (Glenfield)

St. Peter`s is the parish church of the Leicestershire village of Glenfield, on the outskirts of Leicester.

It was built by Henry Goddard between 1874 and 1877, of granite, and has a cruciform shape.

Within the church is a 15th century effigy of a lady.

St. Peter`s was built to replace Glenfield`s previous church, the ruins of which stand in the churchyard.

The old church ruins date back to the 13th century.
