Fareham Station (Fareham)

Fareham Station is the railway station that serves the busy market town of Fareham in Hampshire.

The original station buildings by William Tite partially survive.

Trains come from Portsmouth and Cosham, and continue along the busy line to Southampton, Salisbury and Bristol.

Another line comes down from Waterloo Station in London, via Basingstoke, Winchester and Eastleigh.

There was a branch line to Gosport, which closed in 1953, and off this was another branch to Lee-on-the-Solent. This closed in 1931.

Another line ran to Wickham, West Meon and Alton. This line closed in 1955.
