Sherwood Forest Country Park (Edwinstowe)
Sherwood Forest Country Park is a country park at Edwinstowe in Nottinghamshire.
The largest remnant of the world-famous Sherwood Forest, which once covered 100,000 acres, Sherwood Forest Country Park now covers 450 acres.
It is, however, home to over 900 oak trees which are each over 500 years old.
The most famous tree in the country park is the mighty 900 year old Major Oak, known worldwide as Robin Hood`s Tree.
