East Court (East Grinstead)
East Court is a park in East Grinstead, developed from a historic estate.
The main entrance is in College Lane.
There are historic woodlands, ponds and lakes and many wildlife habitats, as well as sporting facilities for football, stoolball, tennis and shooting.
The mansion itself, formerly the ancestral home of Edward Cranston, is a Grade II listed building built in the 18th century, and is now the home of the Town Council.
Beside the mansion are the Memorial Gardens, giving wonderful views over the High Weald.
Visitors can stand over the Greenwich Meridian Line.
