White Cliffs of Dover (Dover)

The White Cliffs of Dover forms one of the iconic images of England, and is the name of a visitor centre at Dover in Kent.

It is situated about a mile from the town centre.

The visitor centre, incorporating a gift shop and coffee shop, gives the opportunity to find out about the formation of the cliffs and the importance of chalk grassland, as well as the military and strategic history of the site.

"The White Cliffs of Dover" was a wartime hit record for Vera Lynn.
