Derby Arboretum (Derby)
Derby Arboretum is an urban park at Derby.
The main entrance is in Arboretum Square, of Osmaston Road.
One of Britain`s first public parks, it was given to the people of Derby by mill owner Joseph Strutt in 1835. Having been designed by John Claudius Loudon, it was opened to the public in 1840.
As well as trees, the arboretum also includes a recreation ground.
