Chirk Station (Chirk)

Chirk Station is the railway station that serves the small town of Chirk in North Wales.

Trains come from Hereford, by way of Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Gobowen.

They continue to Ruabon, Wrexham and Chester.

A line to Glynceiriog closed in 1933.

South of Chirk Station a viaduct carries the line high over the valley of the River Ceiriog, accompanied by Thomas Telford`s Chirk Aqueduct carrying the Shropshire Union Canal.
