Bishop Lloyd`s House (Chester)

Bishop Lloyd`s House is a fascinating timber framed house in the ancient cathedral city of Chester.

It is situated in Watergate, not far from the central crossroads, now pedestrianised.

The house was built for Bishop Lloyd in the early 17th century, and is a timber framed house in the distinctive black and white style unique to the Welsh borders.

It is part of the extraordinary architectural feature of Chester known as The Rows.
